Calyx Consulting has considerable experience in successfully supporting the development of Children’s Services.

Gill Taylor, Director of Calyx, is an experienced senior manager and has worked at Strategic Lead and 2nd tier level within Children’s Services. Gill has led on the areas of Access and Inclusion, Behaviour and Attendance, Special Educational Needs, Children in Care and Integrated Service Delivery. She has managed an Educational Psychology Service, Behaviour Support Service and Education Welfare Service within local authorities.

Examples of the work of Calyx within Children’s Services include:

	Enabling the collaborative working of senior managers within Education, Social Services and Health in developing effective strategic plans for the provision of services to children and families.
	Developing an authority wide service for meeting the needs of children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
	Reviewing a local authority’s multi-agency delivery of key functions to meet the Special Educational Needs of children and young people.
	Carrying out a review of an Educational Psychology Service.
	Supporting the senior leadership team in implementing actions regarding a Joint Area Review.
